Youth & Family Ministries at Peace
Godly Play is a Montessori-based education approach, in which children hear a Bible story and have opportunities to engage the story through playing with toys, art supplies, and other various activities.
This program is offered during worship on the first and third Saturdays of the month and the second and fourth Sundays of the month, for children ages 3-6th Grade.
Peace offers First Communion Instruction annually during the season of Lent. Children of all ages are welcome to join in learning about the history, theology, and importance of this blessed sacrament.
Parents are invited to engage in the instruction with their children and First Communion is celebrated on Maundy Thursday.
Peace uses a two-year confirmation curriculum. Beginning in the fall when kids enter the 7th grade, classes meet on Sundays from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM and include lunch.
Confirmation students are expected to attend worship on a regular basis, volunteer in the ministries of the church, and participate fully in the educational aspect of the program.
Parents of Peace grew out of a need for families with young children to build relationship and connection with one another. This group has met twice-monthly since its inception in February 2023.
The purpose of Parents of Peace is to build community and help our children feel comfortable with other people of faith. We would love to bring you, your family, and your kids into the fold!
