About Peace Lutheran

Making Christ Available to All, By Rejoicing, Renewing, and Reaching Out

On October 3, 1949, Peace Lutheran was officially incorporated as a worshipping community in Billings, Montana. The church was founded as a mission project to what was then the northwest outskirts of Billings. The first building was on the 700 block of Avenue D. The current church building was dedicated in 1955.

In the 75+ years since Peace Lutheran was incorporated, many people have come and gone. Peace has celebrated weddings and baptisms, and mourned with its people during funerals. Peace has built ministries in and out of its congregation, and has weathered the many changes in Billings and the surrounding world over the years.

Currently, Peace is focused on three main missions: Worship, Feeding Ministries, and Youth and Family Ministries. We worship twice a weekend (and on Wednesdays during Advent and Lent). We feed over 1,500 people a year with our Food Pantry. We are building new and improved ministries for children and their parents.

Peace strives to be welcoming to all people, no matter their circumstances of needs. Please reach out or continue perusing our website and Facebook Page if you would like more information about the congregation and what it is up to. â€‹â€‹

Seth Rumage

Pastor

Seth joined the staff of Peace in May 2022. His passion in ministry is sharing the love of Christ with all people, through worship and pastoral care. He is excited about the ways churches are adjusting to new circumstances in culture and society. Seth finds great joy and meaning in serving the people of God.

When not at church, Seth spends his time with family- his wife Katrina, children Ariella and Nathanael, and two dogs, Phoebe and Jordy.
