Confirmation
Grades 7th+
Confirmation is a long-standing tradition in the Lutheran Church. In this program, teenagers experience a multiple-year process of education, faith formation, fellowship, and service. At the end of this time they affirm their baptism and take on responsibility for their faith. Because we have not held confirmation classes in the last decade at Peace, this first Confirmation group will be open to kids from 7th grade and up.

Please see the schedule for the 2025-26 academic year (below). We expect Confirmation participants to attend at least 80% of the classes and to participate in worship at least twice a month. There will also be expectations for volunteering at the church and participating in various events throughout the year.
Pastor Seth will be the main instructor for our Confirmation classes, with Natalie Olson and other volunteers filling in when needed. We will use a curriculum from Faith Inkubators called Head to the Heart. (https://faithink.com/head-to-the-heart-an-overview) This program tackles studies into the bible, Lutheran history and theology, and even faithful responses to current events.
Because Confirmation has greater expectations than other education programs, we would like you to contact us to let us know whether your child(ren) will be attending Confirmation classes. Please email or call/text Pastor Seth (pastorrumage@gmail.com, 406-298-2672) to let him know if your child(ren) will be participating in Confirmation. If you have any questions, please reach out to Natalie (peacelcyouth@gmail.com) or Pastor Seth or call the church office (406-252-5504) for more information!
We look forward to beginning a new chapter of education and faith formation with Confirmation!
