Important Worship Information

People of Peace,
On September 15th your council met to discuss what resuming worshipping in the sanctuary would look like and if it was even was possible. I need to commend your Church Council for their thoughtful and faithful leadership during this time. Thank you, Council! A larger than possible thank you also goes to John Felton for his wisdom, time, and encouragement. Iā€™m thrilled to say we will be holding worship services in the sanctuary beginning Saturday October 3rd and Sunday the 4th. While we will be returning to the sanctuary we are still living in a pandemic so there will be some significant changes to how we gather.

Notable Changes to Worship

  • Please have your mask on as you leave your vehicle and keep it on until you return to your vehicle. Masks are required at all times with the exception of the brief time you take communion.

  • You can attend worship on alternating weeks based on last names.

    • For October:

    • A-L will have October 3rd, 4th, 17th, and 18th.

    • M-Z will have October 10th, 11th, 24th and 25th.

  • Bring your own communion elements to worship.

  • You will be ushered to a specific seat in the sanctuary. You can only sit with your household. (People who are currently living in your home.)

  •  We have room for approximately 22 household units (between 35-44 people). Once we reach the maximum you will be given the option of sitting in the Fellowship Hall to watch the service on the television.

  • We will be allowed to sing.

  • We ask that all those who are able use the main double doors to enter and exit. The only people we want using the parking lot door are those who need the elevator.

  • The mailboxes, coat rack and nursery will be close off.

  • You will be dismissed by pews and asked to return to your vehicles. There will be no fellowship time prior to or following worship.

This new way will take us a little bit to get used to and I ask that we have grace with each other.

We will continue livestreaming our worship services and broadcasting on Community 7.

Like the Psalmist we recognize God dwells with us and not in any building. If you do not feel comfortable returning at this time know that we love and support you.

Please call me if you have any concerns or questions.
